General information

The Saudi House Events (the “Events” or individually an “Session“, “Meeting”, “Workshop”, “Breakfast”, “Dinner”) are organized by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, as institution with registered office at Granada Business Park | District: Ash Shuhada P.O.Box 358 Riyadh 11182 Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Al Shuhada District, Riyadh 13241-7148 and by a third party.
These general terms and conditions (the “General Terms”) apply to and govern attendance to an Event. By registering to or attending an Event, the participant (the “Participant”) acknowledges that she/he is of legal age to enter into an agreement and that she/he has read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to the General Terms.
The Participant is responsible to comply with these General Terms during its participation to an Event. The Participant shall indemnify and hold the Institution and its employees, representatives, and board members harmless from and against all losses, costs, liabilities, claims and damages resulting from or relating to a breach of these General Terms by the Participant.
Should the Institution believe that the Participant acts in violation of these General Terms, the Institution can immediately cancel the Participant’s right to attend the Event which the Participant registered for. Any other available legal remedies are reserved.
The Institution’s liability towards a Participant is excluded to all extent permitted by applicable law. Furthermore, the Institution does not accept liability for any consequential damages and for acts or omissions of third parties.
1. REGISTRATION TO THE EVENTS
In the context of their registration to an Event, the Participants can either:
- Register themselves for a session through the Website (thesaudihouse.org), with no registration fee.
- Be invited by a third party to a meeting through the Portal, with no registration fee.
- Ask an invitation to a workshop by contacting a third party by mail with no registration fee.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Participant’s attendance to an Event shall be governed by these General Terms in these cases.
1. When the Participant registers him/herself on the Website (thesaudihouse.org) for a session, the following applies:
- By registering for a Session, the Participant shall be deemed to have confirmed firmly and definitely her/his wish to attend the Session, in accordance with these General Terms.
- No registration fee.
· Please note that the invitation does not guarantee entry as seating will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
When the Participant receives an invitation meeting by the Institution and the third party:
- By confirming their participation, the Participant shall be deemed to have confirmed firmly and definitely her/his wish to attend the meeting, in accordance with these General Terms.
- No registration fee.
When the Participant asks an invitation to a workshop by contacting the Institution or the third party by mail:
- The Institution or the third party will review their invitation request, if the Participant receives the invitation workshop he shall be deemed to have confirmed firmly and definitely her/his wish to attend the workshop, in accordance with these General Terms.
- No registration fee.
The Institution and the third party reserve the right to request any information and documents from the Participant if the Institution decides necessary in its discretion. The Participant confirms that all the data provided on the Website is accurate and complete. The Institution and the third party shall not, in any way, be held accountable for the information communicated by the Participant that would be false or fraudulent.
2. CODE OF CONDUCT DURING THE EVENTS
Each Participant shall refrain from discriminatory conducts and disruptive behavior during an Event (session, meeting, workshop, breakfast, dinner), including behaviors which may endanger the health or safety of other Participants or would be detrimental to the rights or other interests of the Institution and the third party involved in an Event (session, meeting, workshop, breakfast, dinner), including but not limited to the reputation and image of the Institution and the third party of the other Participants and more generally of the activity and Events organized by the institution and the third party.
Audio or video reproductions of an Event are not allowed without prior written authorization of the Institution and the third party.
The Participant must comply with any instructions issued by the Institution and the third party in the context of an Event.
The Institution and the third party may refuse or limit the access to an Event or enforce any other measure, as may be required by public authorities or advisable in the view of the Institution and the third party, for instance in the context of specific sanitary or security measures.
3. RIGHT TO CANCEL
A Participant has the right to cancel her/his attendance to an Event at any time.
For a meeting or a workshop, it should be appreciated that the Participant will indicate to the Institution and the Third party when he cannot attend to. So, it allows the Institution and the third party to invite another participant to the meeting or the workshop.
4. FORCE MAJEURE
The Institution and the third party reserve the right, in its discretion, to postpone or cancel an Event, without any rights of damages claim for the Participant, in particular in case of a force majeure event (including but not limited to fire, floods, earthquakes, other natural disasters, lockdown measures decided by the authorities, legal or governmental restrictions, terrorist attacks, riots or civil disturbances, explosions, war, strikes, public regulations resulting in the cancellation of an Event).
5. DATA PROTECTION
The Institution and the third party act as data controller in relation to Participants’ personal data collected and processed through the Portal, respectively during Participants’ attendance to an Event.

7. SEVERABILITY
The unenforceability or invalidity of any provision of these General Terms shall not affect the enforceability or validity of the rest of it.
8. LANGUAGE
The English version of these General Terms shall govern in case of any conflict with a non-English version. The communication between the Participant and the Institution and the third party shall be in English.
9. AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL TERMS
The Institution and the third party reserve the right to change these General Terms at its discretion. Any material change will be communicated to the Participant by the Institution and the third party.
10. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These General Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the exclusion of conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of, or in connection to these General Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
